Saxaul

Саксаул — главное дерево Аралкума. Стержневой корень уходит на 10+ метров, удерживает до 4 тонн песка в год и останавливает пыльные бури у самого истока.

Every tree we plant becomes part of the shared Aralkum forest fund. We geotag the spot, photograph the seedling and send a certificate plus a photo once it takes root.

This species was picked for its resilience to the region’s continental climate — high drought tolerance, hardy through harsh winters and shifting sands. Deep roots help bind the soil and reduce dust storms.
